In July 2018, NESTS acquired two race|result chip timing systems and 5,000 shoe chips. Our inaugural event with this new equipment was the Haddad Windham XC Invitational on 8th September 2018. This new system eliminates the need for finish chutes and for runners to stay in order after they finish. There are no more delays from spindling of pull tags and no more "stand-ins" for athletes who crash after the finish. We will also be able to offer team standings at a split point for added spectator interest. Our system also allows us to use bib tags, which do not need to be returned following a race. These are commonly used in road races and XC races with novice athletes.
