NESTS is looking to hire a Timekeeping Technician I to be part of our regular crew.

Under the direction of the chef d'Equipe (crew leader), the Timekeeping Technician I will:
set-up, operate, and strike timekeeping equipment and support/ancillary equipment, including but not limited to:
Photo finish cameras and supports, display boards, cables, laptop computers, wind gauges, and protective equipment
be primarily responsible for compiling and distributing results of track and field events, seeding, handling issues related to meet management insofar as they concern his duties, and assisting other technicians before, during, and after the meet.
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Available on Saturdays and some weekdays (typically 10 Saturdays and 5 weekdays).
Punctual in arriving for work on time and responding to telephone calls/text messages/e-mails from the chef d'Equipe and president.
Knowledge of athletics and cross-country (can be as an athlete, coach, or enthusiast)
Information technology and/or electrical engineering is a benefit
Starting pay based on experience. Pay will increase as quickly as the employee learns and demonstrates competency.

Sit-down meals are provided following most events
Reimbursement for long-distance travel
Cross-country: second Saturday in September-first Friday in November
Potential number of weekdays of work: 2
Indoor track: first weekend in December-third Saturday in February
Potential number of weekdays of work: 3
Outdoor track: fourth Saturday in March-second Saturday in June
Potential number of weekdays of work: 6
